Dilek Bil is the founding partner and CEO of Kangaroo Communications, a consultancy specializing in strategic marketing. She was part of a select group of women entrepreneurs to attend the DWEN 2013 conference in June.

Bil has received much acclaim as a branding entrepreneur in Istanbul. She has developed a marketing strategy called the “pinpointed communication method” and is credited with organizing the International Women’s Entrepreneurship & Leadership Summit with help from the World Bank and the U.S. State Department.

Tech Page One recently attended the annual Dell Women’s Entrepreneurship Network conference in Istanbul where we asked Bil and other women entrepreneurs about the instructive mistakes and accomplishments that have helped shaped their careers.

Here, Bil explains her biggest failures and accomplishments from her journey as an entrepreneur, including the leap she made to launch her business.

This is the final installment in our video series from DWEN 2013. We last featured Narelle Anderson, who runs a company that makes reverse vending machines for recycling. Links to prior DWEN interviews can also be found on that story page.
