InspiremyCase: DIY Phone Case

aNewDomain.net — Cell phone cases come in many different varieties. There are cases that protect. Cases with loops for wearing on your belt. Cases that keep your cell phone dry. And cases that make a fashion statement. The most popular, however, are cases that reflect your personality.

What better way to do that than customizing your cell phone case with a meaningful photograph? Whether you use a picture of the kids, a pet, or a favorite sport, you will wind up with a truly personalized case. The Barely There case from InspiremyCase.com is a perfect example.

The Barely There case has some impressive features. It is made of lightweight, high-quality polycarbonate that offers protection while not adding any heft to the device. It is so thin that it doesn’t interfere when you try to dock the phone or use accessories. It snaps on and off quickly and easily.

The case is available in several ready-made designs, but using your own photo is the most fun. I chose a picture of my husband and myself when we were in a famous rose garden in Switzerland.

Creating the case was easy. I simply chose the photo from my hard drive and positioned it on the case by moving it around with the mouse. As you can see from this screen shot, the website has all the tools you need for sizing and positioning the photo.

I chose to keep the photo in color. Other choices for the color effect include black-and-white and sepia.

As shown below, you can even see how the case will look on the sides of your phone and can position the photo so that the case is attractive from all angles.

Once you have everything the proper size and position, you can add text with your choice of font, size, and color. I added the caption, “Roses in Switzerland” using a white script font. The finished product, shown here, was a perfect representation of the photo I had uploaded. When it was completed, I not only got a customized case, but I felt very creative, as well.

InspireMyCase is true to its name. Through their partner AngelMule, 20 percent of all profits go directly to purchasing sports, art, and music equipment to help inspire underprivileged kids around the world.

This case is available for several versions of Samsung, Blackberry, and Apple phones.
