Congress cobbled together fiscal cliff legislation in D.C. and, thanks to autopen, Obama was able to sign it while in Hawaii. This isn’t the first time he has signed a bill in to law from remote and the Justice Department has long deemed it a legal signature, as USA Today reports.
This is another example of how increasingly mobile we are with work and how technology supports our ability to work flexibly. Even if your desk is in the Oval Office, you probably don’t want to be tied to it 365 days a year.
