Slideshow: A look back at VMworld 2013

If a good barometer of a convention’s popularity is the size of its footprint, then the five San Francisco blocks needed for VMworld 2013 suggests that a bigger neighborhood will be needed for next year’s event.

The 10th annual gathering in late August challenged technical professionals and IT decision-makers to “defy convention” — to transform everyday remedies into seamless, agile solutions that simplify operations and outperform the competition.

Supporting VMware in this endeavor was Dell, a global diamond sponsor that took full advantage of the event to announce new collaborations with VMware and educate its users by leading breakout sessions. A compilation of all Dell activity around VMworld 2013 also includes the awards it took home for its virtualization solutions.

In case you missed VMworld 2013 or want to relive it, the following slideshow presents a sampling of the events enjoyed by more than 22,000 attendees.

But VMworld 2013 is not over. It continues next month for IT professionals in Europe. Those interested in attending the convention in Barcelona, Spain can register online.
